Doors open on Halloween
The pub
Saturday 31 October, from 3pm.
Thank you for waiting with us. The date is set. We open the doors of the Railway Inn on Halloween, from 3pm, with drinks behind the bar and Light Bites coming out of the kitchen from the first afternoon. Come for one, stay for a few, and bring whoever you like.
Bar
You asked. We listened.
After our last letter, the drinks requests came in thick and fast. Thank you. We read every one, and the drinks you asked for most will be behind the bar when we open. Over the first few weeks we'll also be trying some different beers, and your score cards will help decide which ones stay. Alongside them you'll find cocktails, kombucha spritzes, local spirits and proper alcohol-free options.
Wine
A wine list with a lot of voices in it

The wine list has had plenty of input too, from your emails, our neighbours and a long tasting this week. We're making the final picks now. The aim is a range that suits a wide range of tastes, from light and crisp to big and bold, so there's a glass for everyone at the table.
Christmas
Christmas dinner at the Railway

This year you can book Christmas dinner with us for £30 a head, with a drink included. Tables start at four, so round up your family, your friends or the work lot. Christmas dinners are by booking only, with a deposit to hold your table. Email us to book, tell us about any special requirements, and we'll sort the rest with you. We're closed on Christmas Day and open on New Year's Eve.

Ask us anything
Ask and we will answer
Ask about the pub, the food, the drinks or Christmas. Use the button below, and we will answer, sometimes here in the next issue.
See you on Halloween,
Ruby & David
